I am an accredited Psychotherapeutic Therapist with the National Counselling Society. I am fully insured and uphold the strict code of ethics required and monitored by the professional standards authority. I also hold a current Enhanced DBS check.

I offer an Integrative approach to include Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Gestalt, Mindfulness & Humanistic therapy.

I have been a therapist for 4 years and have worked in a variety of settings to include the Charity FACES, that works with families facing all types of stress, including financial, parenting and domestic abuse problems. I currently work with Barnardo’s where I have worked in a child advocacy role and for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) for the NHS.

I have worked as both a TA and a Learning Mentor in schools for over 8 years. Working with Children with Special Needs and their families, to include physical and neuro developmental problems such as Autism and Asperger’s, Down Syndrome, sight and hearing problems and selective mutism.  Providing both practical and emotional support. This experience is what inspired me to want to progress my own learning and eventually qualify as a counsellor.

My role as your therapist is to work in a holistic, non-judgmental way. Allowing you a safe place to explore your understanding of what is driving your current feelings, helping you to find ways to accept, change or understand the person you are at your pace, and enabling you to find yourself in a positive place to enjoy a fulfilled and happy life.

“When we talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary.”

Fred Rogers
